Florida State's recruiting class added a nice piece on Sunday afternoon, earning the commitment of Clifford Chattman, an outside linebacker/safety from New Orleans, Louisiana. Chattman, who currently measures a long 6-4, 175, was one of two recruits visiting from McDonogh 35 High School, the other being defensive tackle Stephon Taylor, who said that it's now a two team race between FSU and Texas following his trip to Tallahassee. Chattman joins defensive back Kyle Meyers as the Seminoles' second New Orleans recruit in the class of 2016.

Chattman was recruiting primarily by Charles Kelly and Randy Sanders, and also has offers from LSU, Miami, USC, Oklahoma, Georgia, Arizona, Arizona State, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Memphis. He's a three-star recruit and the nation's No. 43 athlete. FSU currently boasts the top-ranked class in the ACC and the fourth-best class, nationally.
