For the fourth straight time, football's grandest stage will include at least one Seminole. Super Bowl 50, which will feature the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, could very well begin by the foot of Florida State's Graham Gano, the Panthers' kicker. Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin is also on the Carolina roster, although he's missed this, his second professional season, with an injury, and will remain out until the 2016 season.

FSU also had a pair of representatives in Super Bowl XLIX last year: the New England Patriots' Bryan Stork and the Seattle Seahawks' Terrance Parks. 2014's Super Bowl XLVIII included Seminole Tony Carter, then with the Denver Broncos, while Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 saw Anquan Boldin get a ring with the Baltimore Ravens.

There were no former FSU players on the rosters of either the New York Giants or the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.
