Following Saturday’s 37-35 loss to UNC, which dropped the Seminoles to 3-2 (0-2), Jimbo Fisher repeatedly referenced the coaching of the players and put the blame on the staff, including himself. "It's on coaches, it's on us."
It was a never-ending theme in his 11 minutes at the podium. “We gotta execute them, and thats all on me. I gotta coach them better so they can play better."
The team struggled early once again, falling behind by 21-points before taking the lead for the first time all afternoon with less than 30 seconds left. North Carolina went 38 yards on three plays, and with the aid of a pass interference call on the next to final play, would set UNC kicker Nick Weiler up for a 54-yard field goal.
When asked about what the team has left to play for, Fisher responded by saying, “No doubt. Plenty to play for. A lot,” as the team essential saw any College Football Playoff chances fade.
