Florida State QB Deondre Francois threw for 372 yards in the loss vs. UNC and talked about the final moments, including his game-tying touchdown run with less than 30 seconds left.
“That was a typical stretch right play, we’d been running it all game, so I feel like they knew it was coming, and before I got the ball in my hands, the whole defense flowed with the (offensive) line and I just tried to cut back and make a play. I saw the guy in my peripheral and luckily I broke the tackle and made it in the end zone.”
At one point in the game, the ‘Noles went down by 21-points and overcame a deficit that large for the second time in the young season. “We’ve been in the situation before, just had to limit the mistakes, the penalties and self-inflicted wounds and we knew we were able to come back.”
