On Saturday before the team’s matchup against Wake Forest, Florida State had a ceremony at the home game sod talk tradition to lay the sod from Miami to rest.

Former Seminoles and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers Roberto Aguayo and Javien Ellott returned to host the 20-minute talk, and reminisce about their Florida State careers.

Aguayo also discussed about his first ever position on the football field when he entered as a child, which surprisingly was at left guard. The former Lou Groza Award winner said he thought kicking would be the last position he would take command of on the football field.

Javien Elliott talked about the transition from a high-school football player with no collegiate offers, to Florida State walk-on, to FSU scholarship athlete, and eventually onto an NFL practice team, where he stands now.
