Following an incomplete pass to the Florida State sideline, Florida State receiver Bobo Wilson dropped to the floor, withering in pain with what appeared to be a lower leg injury. While being helped walking to the injury tent, Wilson was not moving, or putting any pressure on his right leg. Eventually, he would be carted off the field.
Wilson was leading Florida State receivers on the season with 388 yards and a touchdown. Not only does FSU lose a receiver, but also will be without its primary punt returner, as Wilson had that role, scoring on a return earlier this season vs. Charleston Southern.
Before departing Saturday’s game vs. Wake Forest, Wilson had not caught a pass.
Left on the Florida State depth chart is sophomore receiver Auden Tate who has played a considerable amount in-game this season. Other options include sophomore Nyqwan Murray, who has caught five passes on the year, freshman Keith Gavin who has played game snaps and sophomore Da’Vante Phillips.
Right before halftime, Wilson was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
