Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher reacts to sloppy victory vs. Wake Forest

Jimbo Fisher spoke following the victory against Wake Forest.

Following Saturday’s 17-6 victory against Wake Forest, Jimbo Fisher gave his thoughts on the team’s performance.

Fisher began by praising the defense for their job, limiting Wake Forest to six points and allowing 253 total yards. Ermon Lane, who made his debut at defensive back last week vs. Miami, tied for the lead in tackles with seven. “The guy has done a tremendous job,” Fisher said.

The head coach also gave some praise to freshman LB Dontavious Jackson, who got the start for Matthew Thomas, out for the first half from his targeting penalty vs. Miami. “This guy is going to be a really good player.”

Fisher also said he did not have any information on the extent of WR Bobo Wilson’s injury when the coach spoke following the game. Wilson was carted off the field in the middle of the second quarter with a lower leg injury, he did not return.
