The ACC announced today that the Clemson at FSU match-up will receive primetime billing in the 8pm nationally-televised match-up on ABC.
Close to 100 recruits will be in attendance in beautiful Doak Campbell Stadium to watch. While Clemson’s offense has been sleepy at times, FSU will need all-hands-on-deck on defense to control the underneath stuff and, perhaps most importantly, Watson’s wheels. No lines are out yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see FSU a 6-to-8 point home dog.
FSU & Clemson both stumbled into their bye weeks, coming off lackluster performances against conference foes. So both teams are looking to get healthier. And based on the winces we saw from Francois versus Wake, this bye week is extremely important. There is also the potential that Derwin James makes it back to the field for the match-up.
Such a big match-up could also usher in ESPN’s College GameDay to Tallahassee for the first time this season.
