Following practice on Thursday, Curt Weiler and Andrew Miller of Tomahawk Nation spoke exclusively with some members of the Florida State men’s basketball team, including head coach Leonard Hamilton, Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Dwayne Bacon, Michael Ojo, Phil Cofer and Terance Mann.
The group all talked about the upcoming 2016-2017 Florida State season, filled with a whole new roster and high expectations. This year’s team is carrying 16 players, addressing the depth concerns. The large roster will also aid in the up-tempo offense style many of the players said they prefer to run with.
One common trend talked about was the vocal leadership some of the young players are taking on, such as freshmen Trent Forest and CJ Walker. In total, there are seven new faces on this year’s squad.
From 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday, each of these player’s interviews, with a short write up, will be posted to this thread on Tomahawk Nation in 30-minute increments.
