Leonard Hamilton, the head coach of the Florida State men’s basketball team, has a lot to be excited about.

After all, the Seminoles have a top-15 recruiting class for the second straight season, highlighted by forward Jonathan Isaac, the No. 8 player in the 2016 recruiting class according to 247Sports.

Hamilton made no denial that he sees the potential of his team but he knows they have plenty of room for improvement.

"We’ve been pleased with our effort, the attitudes, and just the camaraderie that seems to be building," Hamilton said. "We have a long way to go. We’re seeing progress. I like what I see. I think this team will be an improved team over last year."

Florida State’s opening game of the season is an exhibition scheduled for next Thursday, October 27th against Southeastern University with its regular-season opener slated for November 12th, the day after the FSU football team hosts Boston College on Friday night, against Charleston Southern.
