Update: Florida State moved up to No. 14 in the newest USA Today Coaches poll released on Sunday.
The ‘Noles moved up to No. 12 in the newest AP Poll.
Florida State football had a much needed bye week as the team continues preparations for Clemson. Despite being off, the team should see positive results in both the AP and USA Today Coaches Polls on Sunday.
FSU entered the week ranked No. 13 in the AP Poll. Near and ahead, No. 11 Houston, fell to Navy and will tumble behind Florida State in the rankings. No. 2 Ohio State also lost its first game of the season at Penn State, but should not fall past a two-loss FSU team. Look for the ‘Noles to be ranked No. 12 on Sunday if the committee does not place a winning Boise State team who currently sit 39 points behind FSU.
In the USA Today Poll, the ‘Noles were No. 15. In this poll, Houston was ranked No. 11 and should tumble down, further than FSU. By the end of Sunday, Florida State should be ranked No. 14.
