Florida State has plenty to improve upon before Clemson. Coach Fisher thought the Bye week was well-needed:
“All of them. [All of the players] need time off,” head coach Jimbo Fisher said. “We had camp, had three games in 12 days right off the bat, then you got seven weeks in a row. It’s been a long time.”

I think that’s what we are going to do this week and next week.” “We are letting our quarterback get hit too much. We are leading the ACC in sacks, which is unacceptable,” Eberle said. “So we know that we need to get better, we need to protect our quarterback.”
Senior Defensive End Demarcus Walker spent his bye week in Jacksonville helping with Hurricane Matthew cleanup; for Walker it’s all about finishing this season in a strong fashion.
Florida State continues to see the Taxslayer Bowl as its likely destination in the Bowl projections; a victory over Clemson would change that.
