Hurricane Matthew swept through the east coast of Florida, canceling many college football games in Boca, Orlando and Gainseville. However, after an official confirmation by the school on Friday night, Florida State and Miami will still play each other on Saturday night.
FSU is coming off a last second loss vs. UNC, dropping its conference record to 0-2. The defense, as all season, was the main issue in the defeat, as UNC was able to drive 38 yards in just 23 seconds, including a pass interference penalty, to make a 53-yard field goal as time expired.
The Florida State defense will be challenged yet again with Miami junior QB Brad Kayaa who has already faced the ‘Noles twice. Combined in those two losses, Kayaa has thrown for five touchdowns and only one interception with 720 passing yards and a 54.2% completion percentage.
