Florida State RB Dalvin Cook returned to his hometown of Miami, Florida to take on the Hurricanes, a team the junior is notorious for his success against. Saturday’s 20-19 victory was no different as Cook amassed 200 total yards and 150 on the ground.
“This game right here, one of the games I came to Florida State to play in, and one of the reason I came to Florida State, to play games like this.
When asked about an extra edge playing in his hometown, Cook responded by saying, “It definitely gives me an extra edge, knowing that all my family could be here, and make the trip.” Tallahassee is roughly a seven hour drive from downtown Miami.
Cook had a big 59-yard touchdown reception for the ‘Noles first touchdown of the game.
“I kind of snuck out the backfield without being noticed...They kind of let me free and Francois did a great job of recognizing that.”
