“Im proud of our team, loved the way they came out and started the game.”
Throughout his postgame presser, Fisher emphasized the team getting out to an early lead, and keeping that lead throughout the game. When the ‘Noles went up 14 points, it was the first time leading by that much since the USF game.
When asked about sitting Dalvin in the fourth quarter when he was only 19 yards away from breaking history, Fisher seemed to have used more caution after losing Derwin James early in the year, late in the Charleston Southern game with the ‘Noles up big.
“I would have never forgave that (if Cook went down with an injury)...We don’t play for records.”
Regarding QB Deondre Francois’ injury that kept him out of the fourth quarter, the head coach said he was fine and could have gone back into the game, but at the time, “There was just no sense in it.”
