The 2016-2017 college basketball season is still quite young, but the Florida State Seminoles have already turned the heads of national voters. After coming in at 28th in the first two AP polls of the season, the ‘Noles, after a 4-0 start, have broken into the Top 25, as they’re tied with the Michigan Wolverines at No. 25.
FSU began with 88 votes in the preseason, increased to 95 last week, and most recently received 89, but moved up due to other teams losing votes ahead of them. The Seminoles are one of six ACC teams in the Top 25, joining No. 4 North Carolina, No. 6 Duke, No. 7 Virginia, No. 10 Louisville, and No. 18 Syracuse.
The ‘Noles are also the lone team from the state of Florida to earn a ranking. Florida State’s next game is against the Temple Owls at 12:30 pm on Thanksgiving in Brooklyn, New York.
