After a rare week in which no switches were made on the Florida State depth chart, the tinkering resumed this week, as the Seminoles prepare to host the Florida Gators on Saturday evening. The defensive depth remains the same, but there has been some activity elsewhere.
And that begins up front for the offense. At left guard, Kareem Are’s backups had been listed as Derrick Kelly and then David Robbins, but following a solid start against Syracuse, Cole Minshew has taken over that second spot, while Robbins remains third. Staying on the right side, Brock Ruble was previously RT1, but that position now includes an “or” that splits first-team honors between Ruble and Rick Leonard— with the latter listed first.
Finally, freshman Keith Gavin is still listed as the backup X-WR behind Travis Rudolph, but he’s also now included as Kermit Whitfield’s backup on kick returns, replacing fellow frosh Amir Rasul.
