Florida State football in the latest College Football Playoff rankings

A look at where Florida State ranks in the newest College Football Playoff rankings.

Update: Florida State moved up to No. 14 in the newest College Football Playoff rankings with Florida right behind at No. 15.

On Tuesday at 7 PM EST, ESPN will reveal the newest College Football Playoff rankings. In the AP and USA Today Coaches Polls released on Sunday, Florida State moved up in both, following a win over Syracuse.

The ‘Noles entered this past week ranked No. 17 in the CFP rankings. In front, No. 16 LSU, No. 12 Utah and No. 5 Louisville were all defeated. FSU should jump both LSU and Utah, however get jumped by a current rank No. 23 Florida who defeated the Tigers on the road. In the end, expect FSU to move up one spot in the rankings.

Following this week, there will only be two more releases of a College Football Playoff poll, with the final installation with the Playoff and bowl implications scheduled to be released on December 4th.
