Florida State football head coach Jimbo Fisher has now won the past four meetings over the Gators.
He went in depth about how proud he was of this year’s team,
“I told them I am as proud as this team as any team that won a national championship and won it all. In 29 years, this team makes me as proud as any team I have been around.”
Following the game, Fisher praised a Seminoles defense that allowed 207 total yards and just 3.2 yards per play.
“Our defense was outstanding. Six sacks. The pressures, contesting every throw, there was no easy plays for them.”
The head coach also talked about Dalvin Cook and couldn’t talk highly enough about the junior back.
“Wow, I’ll tell you what. You are blessed to coach certain guys in your career and he is one of them. I can’t say enough about him. We see the players and the toughness and all that, but man, the selflessness and the leadership on the sideline...what a dadgum football player. I don’t know what else to say about him.”
