Florida State RB Dalvin Cook attributes game-winning drive to quarterback play

Hear what Dalvin Cook said about QB Deondre Francois being a motivator on the game winning drive.

Florida State got the ball with 4:37 left in the game, down by three and needing 83 yards to score a touchdown.

“It started with the quarterback play. Francois came in the huddle and said, lets go get this drive. When you have a guy like that, coming into the huddle with that type of attitude, Everyone is going to feed off of him.”

In the end, it was Francois who would cap the drive with a beautiful, game winning touchdown off his back foot to Travis Rudolph.

“That’s the type of guy, thats the type of teammate he’s been showing us all year.”

Cook was then asked about playing with any real hopes of a national champion gone with games still left to play.

“They love to play ball, this team right here just accepts everything that comes with it. The coaching, the film, The adversity.”
