We’re back with another round of updates on Florida State commits and targets from the past week of high school football.
- Fans of D.J. Matthews didn't have to wait long for the 2017 wide receiver commit to show up in Trinity Christian’s 32-22 win over Pine Forest. Matthews scored on the first play from scrimmage, a 53 yard touchdown reception. He tacked on a touchdown pass of his own later in the game.
- 2017 quarterback commit, Bailey Hockman, overcame a rough night to lead McEachern to a 47-23 victory over Hillgrove. Hockman had three interceptions on the night but also completed 12 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns.
- Sticking with quarterbacks, James Blackman and Glades Central fell to Pahokee 27-14. The 2017 commit had a touchdown pass in the loss.
- Zaquandre White and North Fort Myers held off Barron Collier for a 40-30 win on Friday night. The 2017 running back commit carried the ball 16 times for 104 yards, including a 35 yard touchdown run.
- 2017 linebacker commit, Decalon Brooks, made his presence known early in Gaither’s 32-9 route of Strawberry Crest. Brooks returned an interception for a touchdown for the first score of the game. He also rushed for 133 yards on 17 carries.
- 2018 running back target, Lorenzo Lingard, tweeted out his season stats this past week.

- One last tweet, 2017 defensive tackle Jordon Scott decommitted from Florida this past week and then this happened:
