On Tuesday, Florida State completed scheduling its 2017 opponents with the additions of UL Monroe and Delaware State. The ‘Noles will take on the University of Louisiana at Monroe, September 9th, and Delaware State, November 18th, both in Tallahassee.
Along with these two teams, the ‘Noles will kickoff its season against Alabama in Atlanta on September 2nd and have its final non-conference game at Florida to end the regular season on November 25th.
Inside the ACC, FSU will host Louisville, NC State, Syracuse, and Miami while traveling to Duke, Clemson, Wake Forest, and Boston College. The dates for conference play will be announced later in the offseason.
Florida State is 1-0 all-time against ULM, shutting out the Warhawks 34-0 at Doak Campbell Stadium back in 2011. In 2016, this past season, UL Monroe finished 4-8 in the Sun Belt.
The meeting versus Delaware State will be the first between the two schools. The Hornets has not had much success this past season, going 0-12 in the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference of the FCS. In fact, the team has not had much success in recent years, going 3-33 over the past three seasons. DSU lost to Missouri 79-0, the only FBS opponent the team played in 2016.
