Despite not playing a game this past week, Florida State Men's basketball moved up to No. 20 in the latest AP Poll. FSU sits at 12-1 on the season and open up its ACC schedule with a match-up vs. Wake Forest on Wednesday.
This is the third straight week the 'Noles are included in the top-25 rankings and are the fifth highest ranked ACC team behind Duke (No. 5), Louisville (No. 6), North Carolina (No. 9), and Virginia (No. 12). Notre Dame is also ranked behind the Seminoles at No. 24. Rival Florida slid in (No.25) this week adding a top 25 win to the FSU’s young resume; three other schools, Miami, VT and Clemson, received votes.
The 'Noles could see another boost in its rank next week if the team can pull off victories against Wake Forest, who sit at No. 19 in the RPI rankings, and Virginia, No. 13 in the RPI. Florida State, ranked No. 20 in the AP Poll, sit at No. 17 in the RPI rankings.
