2018 running back Dameon Pierce discusses FSU Junior Day visit

The Seminoles got in early on this talented 2018 recruit.

On the first Junior Day of 2016, Florida State saw its first on-campus visit from Dameon Pierce, a 2018 running back out of Bainbridge High School in Bainbridge, Georgia. The Seminoles formally extended their scholarship offer to Pierce on January 22nd and, along with the Auburn Tigers, are the only two teams to have extended an offer to Pierce, despite his impressive sophomore season that saw him rush for 2,060 yards and 33 touchdowns in 14 games.

Pierce, who measures in at 5'11, 205 pounds, would fill the bruising running back role that the Seminoles currently see rising sophomore Jacques Patrick filling.

After his visit, Pierce said that he is being recruited predominantly by running backs coach Jay Graham and defensive coordinator Charles Kelly and that he also sat down with head coach Jimbo Fisher before he left campus. He has no plans to take other visits in the near future and did not name a current leader to earn his commitment.
