2019 defensive tackle Tru Thompson lists FSU as his leader

Thompson's Junior Day visit seems to have made a big impact on him.

Florida State's Junior Day, which took place Saturday, seems to have left a significant impact on 2019 defensive tackle Tru Thompson out of Griffin, Georgia. He said afterwards that although he has plenty of time left in his recruitment, he has FSU as his leader at this point.

"It's a great little program and there are so many players that come out of there," Thompson said, when asked why the Seminoles are his leader currently.

Thompson, who measures in at an impressive 6'0, 300 pounds despite still being a freshman in high school, currently has only two FBS scholarship offers, Florida State and Miami, but, especially given his frame, could see more in the near future.

He also said that defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins has been heading his recruitment for the Seminoles and that he plans on coming back to camp at Florida State once again this upcoming summer.
