Florida State landed another recruit Sunday as class of 2018 running back Charles Strong went public with his commitment. Out of Gainesville P.K. Yonge High School, Strong visited for the first Florida State junior day weekend, on February 20. Strong also camped at Florida State last summer.

Strong is a very developed back for an underclassman, checking in at 6'1, 215. I have not seen him play a game in person, but his hudl tape (below) shows a player who is very physical, can run low and keep his legs churning. He displays very good balance, bouncing off tacklers, though he does not always pull away, suggesting that he has good but not great speed.
Strong also held offers from FAU, Florida, and Miami, and though it is a long time until National Signing Day 2018, FSU's staff has to feel good about getting a top player from Gainesville.
