Florida State added more talent -- and size -- to its secondary today, securing the commitment of Kissimmee's Carlos Becker, a 6-2, 185-pound DB from Osceola High School. Becker joins an impressive replenishing of the FSU secondary that includes the nation's top cornerback in Levonta Taylor, six-foot corner Kyle Meyers.
Becker is a four-star prospect who is ranked the nation's No. 15 corner-- although his explosiveness may well prove that ranking a bit low. Seminole defensive coordinator and secondary coach Charles Kelly headed up his recruitment, along with Rick Trickett. Florida State, which got on Becker a bit late in the cycle, saw its primary competition for Becker come from Ohio State, Clemson, and NC State, but he boasts an impressive offer list, including nearly 30 offers from schools including Florida, Miami, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Michigan State, and Tennessee.
