Shavar Manuel flips from UF to FSU

#Tribe16 adds another nice blue-chip commit to its ranks while snagging a commit from the Gators.

Defensive tackle Shavar Manuel (6'4, 290) committed to Florida State today after his official visit to FSU, flipping his commitment from Florida, where he'd previously pledged his services and visited several times. Manuel has also dropped in on LSU and Miami. A product of IMG Academy in Brandenton (FL), Manuel is rated as a consensus four-star recruit by the 247sports composite rankings, which is the rating he's received from every major recruiting service.

Manuel's commitment to the Seminoles continues the trend of former IMG Academy players coming to Tallahassee in this class. Manuel joins ex-teammates Malik Henry and Ricky Aguayo as members of #Tribe16.

Manuel boasts offers from most of the top programs in the country, including Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Clemson, and Miami -- as well as, of course, Florida -- among others. However, he seemed to favor Florida State very early in the recruiting process, making unofficial visits for Junior Day, the Notre Dame game in the 2014 season, and the last Garnet & Gold spring game, so, in a way, his recruitment rather seems to have come full circle.
