Florida State Seminoles in the MLB: Week 1

How Florida State Seminoles baseball players faired in their first week of the 2016 MLB season.

With week one of the MLB season in the books, there are currently three former Seminoles in the MLB with many more on their way in the pipeline.

C Buster Posey: San Fransisco Giants

7 games .391 AVG 2 HR 5 RBI .444 OBP

Posey is off to a nice start, after struggling out of the gate in 2015. He has played in all seven games thus far and has stolen a base after having two all of last season. His .391 average is currently 23rd in the MLB and the catcher has only struck out once in 23 at bats.

OF Tyler Holt: Cincinnati Reds

4 games .000 AVG 0 HR 0 RBI .000 OBP

Holt has played off the bench thus far, going 0-2 in four games with two strikeouts. However, he is playing very well in the field with plays such like the video below.

2B Stephen Drew: Washington Nationals

Playing off of the bench, Drew has appeared in two games, going 0-2 with 1 strikeout. Baring an injury, Drew may not see any significant time in the near future.
