With week 3 of the MLB season now complete, everyone is starting to get into their mid season strides. Although some players continue to struggle, there is a lot of time to turn things around.
Buster Posey C, San Fransisco Giants:
2016 stats: 19 games .263 AVG 3 HR 7 RBI .325 OBP .417 SLG
After a great first week to the season, Posey has but together two underwhelming weeks in a row. Over his last seven days, the catcher went 6-25 with a home run and three runs. In 2015, the Leesburg, Ga. native had a slow start to the season before finishing up the campaign at .318.
Tyler Holt OF, Cincinnati Reds:
2016 stats: 17 games .333 AVG 0 HR 0 RBI .391 OBP .381 SLG
Holt took advantage of every opportunity given to him this week. In the past seven days, the outfielder recorded 12 of his 21 at bats this season, recording a hit five times. He also scored three runs and the 17 games played in already surpasses his 2015 mark.
Stephen Drew IF, Washington Nationals:
2016 stats: 11 games .150 AVG 1 HR 1 RBI .190 OBP .300 SLG
Drew continues to struggle to begin the season, going 0-9 in the past seven days, adding to an 0-12 slump he is currently on. Mostly playing in a reserve roll, the infielder just can not get it done.
