Florida State football, recruiting news: DB Jalen Ramsey heads to Jacksonville

Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

- Jalen Ramsey was selected fifth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. You can see the full selection below.

-This was a surprise to everyone, including the Jaguars who didn't believe they would get the chance to select the cornerback.

- Dan Kadar of SB Nation gave the Jaguar's draft grade of selecting Ramsey, an A.

This had to be one of the more effortless picks in the top 10 to make. Ramsey is an NFL-ready superstar who can star at cornerback. Ramsey fits perfectly in Gus Bradley's defense thanks to his size and physicality. With Ramsey and the addition of safety Tashaun Gipson, the Jaguars now have an imposing pass defense.

-2017 Four-star power forward RaiQuan Gray from Dillard (Fla.) picked up an FSU offer today. He currently holds offers from six other schools including Clemson, Auburn, Cincinnati and Illinois.

- The 'Noles also offered 2017 five-star guard Lonnie Walker from Reading (Pa.). The 24th overall player in the nation holds a total of 9 offers from schools such as the national champions, Villanova, and others: Connecticut, Indiana, Miami, Oregon, Virginia, Syracuse and Maryland.
