The Florida State basketball program secured the first member of its 2017 recruiting class on Sunday, gaining a commitment from Bryan Trimble, a 6’3, 200-pound shooting guard. Trimble didn’t take long in committing, as he popped for the ‘Noles after visiting FSU just a few days prior on his only official visit anywhere.
A product of Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas City, Missouri, Trimble is a composite three-star prospect who gained an offer from the Seminoles in mid-April. He also had offers from Georgia, Providence, Oklahoma State, SMU, and Missouri-Kansas City. Trimble is ranked the fourth-best player in Missouri, the nation’s No. 59 shooting guard, and the country’s 254th-top player, overall.
Trimble’s commitment gets FSU on the board as far as 2017 class rankings go, as the ‘Noles make their initial appearance at 37th in the nation, while Florida State also checks in at seventh in the current Atlantic Coast Conference recruiting standings.
