South Point Sports Book in Las Vegas released new betting lines for the college football regular season last Thursday. I've grabbed the big ones and those concerning FSU's opponents or semi-rivals, below. Here is what you should know.
Florida State's total is 9.5, which is lower than the total of 10 offered at the Golden Nugget in May. Florida State plays five teams with a win total offering of 8.5 or better. It is the winningest schedule FSU has faced under Jimbo Fisher and losing 0 or 1 games would be a major accomplishment against this slate.
Six teams have higher totals than Florida State: Boise State, Clemson, Alabama, LSU, Michigan and Oklahoma. Five other teams are tied with Florid State at 9.5: Baylor (I'm going to guess this has dropped in the last week), Houston, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee.
The highest win total offering for a team from the Pac-12 is Washington at nine (Stanford and UCLA at 8.5, Oregon at 8). This suggests the Pac-12 will be missing the playoffs again.
Surprises: Michigan State at 7.5 surprised me, and I am not that high on the Spartans. Washington State surprised me in the opposite direction. I cannot see them getting to eight wins.
Florida is set at 7.5 and Miami at 6.5. I might be inclined to wager over and under, respectively.
