Football:

Athlon Sports ranked all 128 FBS coaches with FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher at No. 7 on the list, just behind TCU coach Gary Patterson. Do you think Fisher should have been ranked higher?

Fisher has returned Florida State to a spot among the nation's elite. In six seasons under Fisher, the Seminoles are 68-14 and have won at least 10 games in five of those years. Additionally, Florida State won the 2013 national championship, made the College Football Playoff in 2014 and played in a New Year's Six Bowl (Peach) last season. Fisher is not only a strong recruiter and a sharp offensive mind, he's got an eye for identifying talent and moving players from one side of the ball to another or to a different position to find the best fit for their skill set. After winning 10 games in a rebuilding year, Fisher has Florida State poised to contend for a playoff spot and a national title in 2016.

NFL.com has 'Noles RB Dalvin Cook No. 3 on their rankings of college football running backs to look out for in 2016, behind LSU's Leonard Fournette and Stanford's Christian McCaffery. The Florida State running back is a projected top-10 pick in 2017 by Pro Football Focus, the first back off the board.

Just how good was Cook last season? Chew on these stats. Cook ran for no gain or a loss of yards in one out of every four carries last season and still averaged 7.4 yards per rush while adding 19 rushing touchdowns. He had a carry of 30 yards or more in nine of his 12 games. Cook is decisive. He runs with good vision and elusiveness at the line of scrimmage and on the second level. He's able to change direction without gearing down much at all, and his short acceleration through the line of scrimmage changes games. Cook isn't much of a tackle-breaker and needs to improve his ball security.

Recruiting:

Tim Brewster seems to be getting some interest by recruits all over the nation.

Pros:

Pro Football Focus has Tampa Bay Bucs QB Jameis Winston on their list of under 25-year-olds to make it inside the top 101 player list next season. Despite being named to the Pro Bowl, the 22-year-old was left off the list this past season.

NFL Now has Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman as the third most under rated running back in the NFL. However, is the former 'Nole still under rated following a 1,056 yard, 11 touchdown campaign in 2015?

It looks as Jalen Ramsey has ended his quest on getting the No. 23 jersey in Jacksonville and will settle for No. 20.
