New, 11 comments

Isaiah Bolden, four-star defensive back commit, talked this past weekend about his commitment, and how he transitioned from growing up a Florida Gator fan to becoming a Florida State Seminole.

While at the IMG 7v7 National Championship in Bradenton, Florida, SB Nation National Recruiting Analyst and Tomahawk Nation's Bud Elliott spoke with recent 2018 four-star Florida State commit Isaiah Bolden. Bud spoke with Bolden's 7v7 Adidas Pro Impact teammate and four-star FSU commit Cyrus Fagan yesterday, you can view that interview here.

The 6'1 170 lb. defensive back from Jacksonville, Florida started off talking about why he chose Florida State, going into detail about coach (Charles) Kelly and how he fits in with the system. The 2018 commit ran through some of the schools he chose Florida State over, before dropping the bombshell about growing up a fan of the Seminoles' biggest rival, the Florida Gators. The 2018 Florida State recruiting class is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation according to 247 composite rankings.

Bolden said he made the final decision about two days before committing to Florida State, citing location as a factor. He finished off the interview raving about the coaches he got to meet with, and said where the Florida State staff envisioned him on the playing field once he arrives in Tallahassee.
