In April, Seminole guard Robbie Berwick announced his intention to transfer from Florida State, and a month later, it was revealed that he’d resume his career at Colorado State. Today, fellow guard Benji Bell revealed his own departure from the program; what remains to be seen is where Bell heads now.
Bell, a 6-4, 204-pound senior from Gainesville, was with FSU for just a lone season after transferring in from Northwest Florida State College in Niceville. He played 10.4 minutes per game in the 2015-2016 season, during which he averaged 3.8 points and 1.0 rebounds in 33 appearances.
The departure of Bell has the 2016-2017 Seminole roster (which already excludes him online) down to 13 players, and a stark uncertainty as to just where the ‘Noles will get long-distance production, following the graduation of Devon Bookert. Here’s how the team looks, presently:
- G C.J. Walker
- G Dwayne Bacon
- G Terance Mann
- G Trent Forrest
- G Xavier Rathan-Mayes
- G Braian Angola-Rodas
- F Phil Cofer
- F Jonathan Isaac
- F Jarquez Smith
- F Mfionu Kabengele
- F Brandon Allen
- C Chris Koumadje
- C Michael Ojo
