As a writer, I value originality and avoid redundancy whenever possible. But shortly after ballots were distributed for media voting on the Tallahassee All-Regional Team, I encountered a bit of a conundrum. Namely, that I found myself, repeatedly, writing the letters "FSU." And per the results of that voting, I was far from alone.

Seminoles garnered the majority of the spots on the All-Regional squad, which is made up of the top players in this region comprised of Florida State and the three teams it defeated: Alabama State, Southern Miss, and South Alabama. A 'Nole also claimed the region's top honor.

Here is your Tallahassee All-Regional Team, with FSU players in bold:

  • C Cal Raleigh, Florida State
  • 1B Dylan Busby, Florida State
  • 2B Matt Henderson, Florida State
  • 3B John Sansone, Florida State
  • SS Taylor Walls, Florida State
  • OF Jake Sandlin, Southern Miss
  • OF Travis Swaggerty, South Alabama
  • OF Jackson Lueck, Florida State
  • P Kirk McCarty, Southern Miss
  • P Tyler Holton, Florida State
  • DH Quincy Nieporte, Florida State
Also, FSU's Busby was named the region's Most Outstanding Player.
