Florida State made the top six list of 2017 five-star receiver Trevon Grimes. The St. Thomas Aquinas (Fl.) student released his list last night which included Florida State, Miami, Florida, Ohio State, Georgia and Alabama. 247 composite rankings have the 6'3, 202 lb. target as the 24th best overall player in America and fourth best receiver.

In 'hoops, the 'Noles are one of two schools that small forward David Nickelberry has his mind on. 247 ranks him as the 87th best player in the nation and seventh best overall player in Florida, hailing from Windermere.

On the Orlando Sentinel's list of 25 players to watch in the SEC this year, three athletes from 'Ole Miss, FSU's first opponent of the season, were named. Those players are QB Chad Kelly, TE Evan Ingram, and DE Marquis Haynes

Some of the new Florida State Seminoles got their jersey numbers presented to them:

Logan Tyler will wear the No. 21 jersey which is what the punter's plan was the whole time. You can click here to find out the special bond that Tyler shares with the No. 21, and why it means so much to him.

Defensive back Levonta Taylor will wear uniform No. 1, taking it over from the graduated Tyler Hunter.

Dontavious Jackson, linebacker from Houston, Texas, will wear No. 5 for his freshman year -- the same number he wore in high school.

Local Tallahassee establishment Madison Social announced an event that will bring former 'Noles who currently play on the Jacksonville Jaguars, back to town for an event.
