Jon Solomon of CBS Sports argues that Florida State and Clemson has become the best annual college football game.

If Clemson and Florida State, out of the same conference, finish in the top 15 in 2016 for the fifth straight year, they will have done something the Alabama-LSU series has never accomplished under Nick Saban and Les Miles. Safid Deen, Florida State beat writer for the Tallahassee Democrat, relays some of the interesting things that other ACC players and coaches said about FSU at last week’s ACC Kickoff.

Late Tuesday afternoon, news broke that Florida State was finalizing a return trip to the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta in 2020, this time against West Virginia.

In opponent news, Ole Miss freshman defensive end Charles Wiley was arrested for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge earlier this week. With potential issues already surrounding the Ole Miss program at the current time, Wiley’s eligibility for the opener against Florida State will likely be brought into question.

Recruiting

With both of this summer’s Jimbo Fisher camps in the rear view mirror, Bud Elliott and Ingram Smith took a look at Florida State’s offensive and defensive recruiting in two separate podcast episodes.
