With 59 days left until kickoff between Florida State and Ole Miss to begin the 2016 season, we take a look at one player in particular to wear the No. 59 uniform.
The only player in FSU history to wear No. 59 and achieve any post season honors was linebacker Larry Strickland. In 1972, Strickland was an All-American honorable mention by the AP following his senior year. The Tallahassee native was named to the first team All-South Independent post his final two years on campus in '71 and '72, when he was a captain.
