Football:
Former Duke point guard Jay Williams was on top of the world; the second overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft coming off a successful rookie year when a motorcycle accident took it all away before his second season. He spoke with the team yesterday to share his story about being a star athlete on the cusp of super-stardom, facing life's greatest adversity & overcoming it.

Josh Sweat & Alec Eberle were held out of practice following the first two-a-day of camp with concussion-like symptoms. Jimbo Fisher is always cautious about these types of things so nothing overly concerning as of now. True Freshman Brian Burns & Josh Brown took reps at Buck in Sweat’s absence.
Miami’s new stadium will be named the Hard Rock Stadium; appropriate when you consider that both Hard Rock & Miami football peaked when we were children. The Hard Rock Casino, owned by the Seminole tribe of Florida, is just 15 minutes up the road from the stadium.
Lance Zierlein, NFL draft analyst of NFL.com, chose Dalvin Cook, not Leonard Fournette, with the first overall pick.
Time to start our #CFBMockDraft w/ RBs today. Let the haters hate... I'm taking Dalvin Cook first. Elusive, elite burst & complete player

Whom would you take number one overall if it isn’t Cook?
Some unfortunate news for the Clemson Tigers as they lose top DE, Austin Bryant, to a foot injury for approximately 4 to 6 weeks. A similar injury that occurred to Derwin James in the off-season.
Recruiting:
4 Star target Hamsam Nasirildeen, committed to Will Muschamp and the gamecock was considering S.Car, FSU, ALA among others. A very good get for Muschamp but I expect the staff to continue to push for his signature.
Alumni:
QB Christian Ponder signed a 1 year deal with the 49ers today. Meanwhile former center Bryan Stork, of the New England Patriots, was thrown out of an intersquad practice with the Bears for fighting.
Bryan Stork just responded to a post-play shove in the shoulder by John Timu with a jab to the throat and another wild swing. #heGone

Things can get pretty testy during the ‘Dog Days of Camp’.
