Florida State football opens its fall camp today, and as is tradition, Head Coach Jimbo Fisher will get things going with a presser at 1 pm. Yes, Fisher will answer specific questions about players, but he’ll also provide an opening tenor that often underscores his thoughts about the state of the program.
Last year, I wrote about Fisher’s emphasis on the Seminoles’ youth. Although talented, 2015’s iteration of the ‘Noles did not have a legitimate national-title ceiling— and Fisher’s comments seemed to indicate as much. 2016 appears different, at least from Fisher’s tone in the spring, and it will be interesting to see if his latest remarks reflect that as well.
I’ll be in the room for this presser and will be posting real-time updates in the comments section below. And be sure to stay tuned to Tomahawk Nation throughout the day, as we’ll publish our first practice report of fall camp following the Seminoles’ practice later this afternoon.
