RaiQuan Gray wasn’t the only visitor on campus this weekend. JUCO sharpshooter Patrick Savoy Jr (Sheridan College, WY) was also in Tallahassee. Monday was Gray’s turn to commit, and Tuesday Savoy followed suit.

Savoy was lightly recruited in high school, so the 6-4 guard decided to spend a year in JUCO to improve his chances for a high major offer. That paid off, as he shot 43% from deep as a freshman, scoring 16.8 per game, and grabbing 5.1 rebounds. He also provided further evidence of his shooting ability by knocking down 86% of his FTs.

He is the son of former UNLV star Patrick Savoy. The Las Vegas, Nevada native chose Florida State over Utah and UNLV.

Savoy Jr. is immediately eligible, and the 2016-17 roster is now maxed.
