It's been all about the running backs so far this season when it comes to Florida State commits and targets, where as the quarterbacks have had mixed results. That changed this week as both commits had very good games.

  • Bailey Hockman led McEachern to a 69-0 blowout of Jonesboro. The 2017 quarterback commit threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns. He also scored twice from the ground. In total, five touchdowns in just one half.
  • James Blackman and Glades Central, on the other hand, fell 37-32 to American Heritage. Blackman, a 2017 quarterback commit, ended the night with 285 yards and two touchdown passes. He also added on a touchdown run.
  • Sticking with the offensive side of the ball, Lorenzo Lingard continued his torrid pace. Lingard ran for 186 yards and 2 touchdowns. The 2018 running back target and University won 38-33 over Bishop Moore.
  • 2017 running back commit Khalan Laborn put up video game numbers in Bishop Sullivan’s 50-7 victory over Gilman. Laborn rushed 14 times for 189 yards and three touchdowns.
  • James Cook and Miami Central routed First Coast, 62-0. Cook had a rushing touchdown in the game.
  • Long time 2017 wide receiver commit, D.J. Matthews and Trinity held off University Christian 31-23. Matthews had a 64 yard touchdown run and an 85 yard touchdown reception in the win.
  • 2018 commit Justin Watkins had two touchdown runs in Vanguard's 40-6 win over North Marion.
  • Isaiah Bolden returned a kickoff 95 yards in Wesley Chapel's 34-21 victory over Pasco. Bolden is a 2018 cornerback commit.
  • Cory Durden makes it two straight weeks with fumble recoveries. This time he returned one 55 yards. The 2017 defensive tackle commit was a force in Newberry's 40-22 defeat of Union County.
  • 2017 running back commit Zaquandre White was hurt with a sprained ankle. No stats available.

That's all we have this week. If you know of any other stats or results, let us know. Keep checking back for more updates on #Tribe17 and the future.
