Opinions have been ubiquitous since Florida State’s 63-20 blowout loss to the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday afternoon. Everyone’s got an opinion— and everyone wants that opinion heard. And while social media posts in all caps typically come across as shouting, a leader of the Seminole defense spoke softly, though powerfully, about his disappointment, and how FSU fans could expect a drastic change.
Senior defensive end DeMarcus Walker is no stranger to the Florida State media, as a player who’s often made available to the press after practices and games. He speaks with humility and determination, and that was never more on display than when he provided some remarks after Saturday’s letdown against the Cards.
After addressing the UL game, an emotional Walker began by emphasizing the degree to which he holds himself accountable. But he also vowed to step up his team leadership, and even closed by offering a direct promise to ‘Nole Nation. Video of the interview is included below.
