Few freshmen arrived on Florida State’s campus in 2016 with as much hype surrounding them as Malik Henry. The four-star quarterback from California enrolled early and turned numerous heads with his standout performance at the Seminoles’ Spring Game in Orlando.
But despite the acclaim Henry garnered quite quickly during his time in Tallahassee, enthusiasm surrounding him was dampened somewhat when he was suspended indefinitely on August 20 during FSU’s fall camp for an undisclosed violation of team rules. However, according to multiple Tomahawk Nation sources, Henry was back practicing with the ‘Noles on Monday.
After missing the time that he has, it seems even more unlikely than before that Henry will see any playing time this year. Sean Maguire remains slotted in as QB2 on the depth chart, and J.J. Cosentino is third. Still, it’s certainly important for Henry to be back in the fold, getting reps and building chemistry with his teammates.
