Top 25 North Carolina on deck this Saturday

Football:

Jimbo Fisher joined Jeff Cameron for the weekly interview.

The Seminoles rose two spots in both the Coaches & the AP poll following the twenty point victory over USF.

Dalvin Cook got back on track for history with his 267 yard performance.

Speaking of Dalvin Cook he earned an ACC helmet sticker from Jared Shanker this week.

It turns out Dalvin Cook just needed to see South Florida again to get back on track. Cook ran for 256 yards against the Bulls -- his first 100- and 200-yard game of the season -- to follow up on the 266 yards he gashed them for last season. Cook received a lot of room to run from his offensive line, but he showed the power, elusiveness and speed that made him a Heisman Trophy candidate. His 318 scrimmage yards are the most for a Power 5 player since 2014.

In case you missed it; here’s what FSU learned on offense & defense from Saturday’s contest.

Injured & Undisciplined; that’s what Brendan Sonnone had to say about FSU’s defense.

“Do Your Job” Jimbo Fisher was very clear postgame about what happened & didn’t happen in the game.

Florida State moved up to No.3 trailing only Louisville & Clemson in ESPN’s ACC Power Rankings; upcoming opponent North Carolina is No. 6.

LSU fired Les Miles yesterday; you can expect the Jimbo to LSU rumors to be amplified now. My advice? Ignore them.

Notre Dame fired its Defensive Coordinator; former FSU Linebackers Coach Greg Hudson will take over for them.

Recruiting:

2018 DT commit Robert Cooper & other recruits had this to say about FSU’s bounceback win.

I just thought it was a great win for them. Nice way to bounce back, but defense should've played the whole 60 minutes instead of laying off, but it was a good win and all.

Other Sports:

Women’s soccer followed up a win vs Wake Forest with a draw against No.2 Virginia; the game was shortened in overtime due to weather issues.

Alumni:

Sebastian Janikowski set an NFL record today:

Former FSU Cornerback Xavier Rhodes finally got healthy & played Sunday vs former FSU Wide Receiver Kelvin Benjamin. Rhodes was able to record a PD while Benjamin registered no catches on only one target.
