Florida State RB Dalvin Cook talks his explosive game against USF

The Seminole’s star tailback knew it was only a matter of time.

Dalvin Cook’s performance against South Florida was a return to his peak form from the 2015 season.

The Florida State running back went for 267 rushing yards in the Seminoles’ 55-35 win over the Bulls, narrowly setting a new career-high in the process.

Cook stated that he always had a full understanding of the fact that he was still capable of a performance of the caliber he had against South Florida. He knew it was just a matter of time and had teammates telling him such to help keep his confidence high.

Cook also addressed questions during his media availability session Monday evening on if he listened to the talk of what his issue was in the first three games of the 2016 season as well as how nice it was to have a more effective showing from the offensive line in front of him against USF.

Additionally, Cook discussed in the video attached below how nice it is to have a solid backup behind him in Jacques Patrick, who has had an emergence in his sophomore season, and how he has helped Patrick further his development.
