Interviews from FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher and players following practice on 9/27

Hear from Jimbo Fisher, Rod Johnson, Bobo Wilson, Ryan Izzo, Fred Jones, and Nate Andrews

In case you missed it, Florida State football head coach announced Ja’Vonn “Pigg” Harrison was suspended from the team due to violations of team policy. Fisher also spoke about practice and gave injury updates regarding DB Levonta Taylor and DB Marquez White.

Offensive lineman Rod Johnson sat down after practice, talking about his blocking against USF that earned an ACC Offensive Lineman of the week award. The junior also talked about playing back at Doak Campbell for the first time in three weeks, and the plethora of home games left in the season.

Wide receiver Bobo Wilson talked about the groups chemistry through three weeks with Deondre Francois, praising the young QB for his play. Wilson also discussed Dalvin Cook’s excellent play.

Tight End Ryan Izzo had a great game blocking when the team played USF, and the redshirt sophomore broke down what he did. Izzo also talked about the progression of tight end Mavin Saunders, who after the victory, received high praise from Jimbo Fisher.

Defensive back Nate Andrews talked about what it means to be remembered by, talking about his interception against USF as well as the 2013 National Championship team. Andrews went into great detail about the current Florida State defense and the adjustments the players had to go through.

Defensive Tackle Fred Jones talked about his performance against USF and how he is looking forward to the upcoming matchup against UNC.
