You really don’t have to search too hard for some storylines. When you’re the younger brother of the most accurate kicker in college football history, and you play the same position, and you take over for him the year after he turns pro, the comparisons come early and often.

Case in point: the Aguayo brothers at Florida State.

Obvious questions existed about just how the Seminoles’ latest and current kicker, Ricky Aguayo, would follow his brother Roberto, now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Well, one game into his ‘Nole career, Ricky has answered in historic fashion.

He did so by connecting on all six of his field-goal opportunities on Monday night; that’s the most field goals made, in one game, in FSU history. Four Seminoles had made five FGs in a lone contest— among them: Roberto.

Perhaps that explains the gesture Ricky made last night following one of his field goals: the one captured in our featured image above. In case you were wondering what Aguayo was miming injecting into his veins in celebration? That would be ice water. Fitting.
